He bought the old Crawford homestead, in Mifflin township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, which was formerly known as the John McKee farm.
He was born east of the mountains, of Scotch-Irish parentage, and lived and died in Westmoreland County. He willed the above property to his son, John Crawford.
