General Notes: Husband - William Clark Aiken

He received but a limited education, for, being the eldest son, when his father died he was needed to assist his widowed mother.
He always resided on the home farm, which he owned, and was a successful business man. In politics he was an active member of the Republican party. He served in various township offices, and was elected justice of the peace, but declined to accept that position. For twenty or more years Mr. Aiken was in the dairy business, being the second shipper of milk from Bulger. He and his wife were members of the Centre United Presbyterian Church at Midway, and he served as a member of the Session for over twenty years.
