Summit Twp, Butler Co, PA

He was reared on the home farm and after his school attendance was over, he learned the carpenter trade, at which he worked for a number of years, in and around Butler, Pennsylvania. He resided on his own farm beginning about 1890, but only gave his personal attention to it in later years.
