General Notes: Husband - William Crain


The family was of Irish and Scotch descent, and among the early residents of Pennsylvania, members of the family locating in the eastern part of the state a number of years before the opening of the nineteenth century. About 1800 William Crain settled near the site of Cooperstown, Venango County, Pennsylvania.

In the old Franklin cemetery:
Wm. Crain, died Dec. 31, 1828, aged 64 years.
Elizabeth Crain, wife of Wm. Crain, died Feb. 15, 1829, aged 64 years.
