General Notes: Husband - Richard Crain


He located west of the Susquehanna previous to the Revolutionary War, and during the struggle for independence was an officer in one of the associated battalions. He was at the battle of Long Island under Colonel Frederick Watts, and captured there, but paroled soon after on account of wounds received in the engagement.
