General Notes: Husband - John Albert Aiken


After completing his early schooling, he attended Sewickley Academy and Slippery Rock State Normal School. He then became associated with the private banking business of W. Henry Wilson at Slippery Rock, and in 1902 when Mr. Wilson organized the First National Bank, Mr. Aiken was made cashier
He was a Republican, a member of the Presbyterian Church, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge and its various branches. He was treasurer of Slippery Rock State Normal School and a director and treasurer of the Slippery Rock Independent Telephone Company.

He was a director in the Slippery Rock Heat and Light Company; and he was treasurer of the Slippery Rock Independent Telephone Company. A Republican in political matters, he served on the School Board for many years, and beginning in 1916 he was a councilman. His fraternal affiliations ware with Grove City Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons; New Castle Consistory, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; and the Booster Club. He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church.
