General Notes: Husband - William McClenathan

He was born in Ireland, and, emigrating to America at an early age, settled in Amwell township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.

He was born in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, removed to Washington County in 1790, where he engaged extensively in farming.

He was the first of the family to come to this part of Washington County, Pennsylvania, and almost all of his children located permanently in Amwell Township. He came directly to this township from England, with two brothers, but the descent is Irish. [TCHWWC, 848]
