General Notes: Husband - James Cotton

He was born on the homestead of his father, upon which farm he continued to reside. On March 30, 1874, his residence was consumed by fire, by which occurrence he lost heavily. He at once, however, began the erection of another residence, which was completed the same year. On the third of the following September, he fell from his barn loft which inflicted serious injury on his head and spinal column, from which injury he was a severe sufferer for two years.
For many years he was a member of the Neshannock Church, as was also his wife.
