General Notes: Husband - R. Harry Cooper

He grew up on his father's farm and attended the district schools of Adams Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. He was only fifteen years old when he went to work in the brickyards at Valencia in the employ of J. A. and W. Anderson, pioneer business men of that section. The following year he went to Pittsburgh, where he was employed by S. P. Armstrong. Later, Mr. Cooper learned the carpenter trade and followed that until 1916, when he became connected with the Edward Dambach Lumber Company at Evans City. He was transferred to the Valencia yards in 1920 as manager.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Mars, and was affiliated with F. & A. M. Blue Lodge, No. 729, Mars; Pittsburgh Consistory, and Shrine, and belonged to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Knights of Pythias. He was president of the Farm Club.
