General Notes: Husband - Nathaniel Cooper


He came to Butler County, PA, with his parents in infancy. He was reared upon the farm in Slippery Rock township, and after arriving at maturity, he settled on land near the borough of Centreville. He was one of the well known justices of the peace of his township, and filled that office some ten years. He was a member of Plain Grove Presbyterian church, and one of the original members of Centreville Presbyterian church. He was an elder for nearly half a century. In politics, he was a Whig during his early life, and afterwards became a Republican.
