General Notes: Husband - John Quincy Adams McCormick


When a young man he engaged in business with his father, later located in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, with James Nichols, and afterwards entered the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad, where he continued until his retirement. In 1864, at the age of sixteen years, he enlisted in Company F, One Hundred and Ninety-third Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and served to the end of the war. After returning home he took a commercial college course in preparation for his later business pursuits.

None of their children survived infancy.
