General Notes: Husband - Joseph Wadsworth McGinnis

He grew to manhood on the family homestead in Franklin Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, where he was a farmer until 1879. At that time he moved with his family to Lower Tyrone Township, Fayette County, where he purchased a farm and continued its cultivation until 1910, when he sold his property to Mrs. Sarah B. Cochran, on which she completed in 1912 a beautiful summer residence. Mr. McGinnis removed to East Connellsville after selling his property, and there later died. He was a Democrat in politics, and a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
