General Notes: Husband - Oliver R. Cooke


He was educated at the public schools, and was for eight years engaged in teaching school in Washington and Allegheny counties, Pennsylvania. In 1878 he commenced the study of law at the University of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was a graduate of the law class of 1880. He came back to Allegheny County, and was admitted to practice in the courts of the county in 1881. He practiced in Pittsburgh and Mansfield, having an office at each place. He was solicitor for the town of Mansfield and Chartiers borough. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and a republican.
