General Notes: Husband - Samuel Hazlett


He was born in Franklin township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and received his education at the subscription schools of the neighborhood. He followed agricultural pursuits on the old homestead all his life. He was a leading member of the Presbyterian Church, and in politics was a sound Democrat.

He was a farmer and a member of the Home Guards.

He was the owner of a good farm of one hundred and ninety-six acres in Washington County, Pennsylvania, which he cultivated until death. He was a Democrat in politics, and a Presbyterian of the most rigid type.
