General Notes: Husband - William Coulter


He received his education in one of the earliest subscription schools of Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania, which he attended during the winter season only. At the age of fourteen years he began working in a brickyard, where he remained three years. He then learned and completed the carpenter and millwright trades, to which most of his time was thereafter devoted, taking contracts in different portions of Washington County.
In politics he was originally a Whig, and later voted with the Republican party, and he served as a member of the council and school board.

When she died, she left eight children, all of whom were deceased before 1893.
