General Notes: Husband - John Coleman

He was a native of Ireland, and migrated to Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He was a shoemaker by trade, and came, accompanied by his family, to the site of the borough of Indiana, Pennsylvania, a year or two before the village was surveyed. He removed to the Manor a short time after the county seat was established.

He was a soldier of the Revolutionary War.
