He came to Erie County, Pennsylvania, in 1872, and owned eighty-five acres of land in Wayne Township, on which he has resided. He was a farmer and stock-raiser. He was a member of the Grange for some years; was a member also of the E. A. U. He acted as School Director; in politics was a Greenbacker.
