General Notes: Husband - Richard Caughey McIntyre


He was educated at Bellevue, Pennsylvania, and remained with his parents until he was about eighteen years old. He spent three or four years in the Northwest, and on coming back home went to work as a fireman on the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie railroad. He was promoted to the position of engineer while in the employ of this company. Resigning this position, he went to work for the Westinghouse Air Brake Company, and was also for some time employed in the repair shops of the Union Railroad Company. Later he held the position of inspector of locomotives for the United States Steel Company. His office was in the Carnegie building, at Pittsburgh. He was a thirty-second-degree Mason.
