General Notes: Husband - David Sloan Cochran


He worked at the shoemaker's trade with a Mr. Manners, of Clarksburg, Pennsylvania. He also worked for some time at black-smithing, plastering and carpentering. He lived in Wayne township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, until the spring of 1884, when he moved to Dayton. During the Civil War, he enlisted October 13, 1861, at Kittanning, in Co. G, 78th Pa. Vols., and was discharged November 4, 1864. He took part in most of the many battles in which that regiment was engaged.
