General Notes: Husband - Charles Cochran


He enlisted in Co. I, 103d Reg. P. V., November, 1861; was with McClellan in the disastrous Peninsular campaign, and participated in the battles of Fair Oaks and Seven Pines. His brigade was then ordered South to cut off the railroads and support the blockade. After a number of engagements they reached New Berne, North Carolina, where they were captured April, 1864.
