General Notes: Husband - William Johnston

He came to what is now Patton township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, prior to the Revolution. He was of Scotch descent, and reared in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He served under Anthony Wayne at Stony Point, and through the Revolution, returning to Allegheny County at the close. All his life he was a wheelwright and farmer.
