General Notes: Husband - Pashal Lewis Clingan

The common schools of his native county afforded Squire Clingan his first glimpses of the long and toilsome paths of knowledge, and later he pursued higher studies at Lewisburg Academy. For some years he followed farming, but in 1873 he removed to Lewisburg and engaged in the coal business, which he carried on successfully until 1892. In that year he was elected to the office of justice of the peace in and for the borough of Lewisburg, and thereafter devoted to it the greater part of his time.
