He received his schooling at Riverdale, NY, and at Harvard University, at which latter institution he graduated in the regular course in 1878, after an attendance there of four years. In the same year he entered the office of his brother, Pearson Church, and was admitted in 1875. He and his wife were members of the Episcopal Church. In politics he was a Democrat.
