General Notes: Husband - Jacob G. Renick

Center Twp, Butler Co, PA
After he had completed his education, which he obtained in the country schools and the Iron City College at Pittsburg, he went to the oil fields, where he found work as a tool dresser and also did some contracting and later became a lumber contractor. He purchased a portable saw-mill and worked all over Butler County for some seven years and then turned his attention to farming, settling on what was the old Moses Thompson farm. He continued his lumber business to some degree for many years. With the assistance of his sons he also carried on extensive farming operations and raised some fine stock.
