General Notes: Husband - John Christy


He migrated to the colony of Pennsylvania prior to the Revolutionary War, and served in the struggle for liberty as a scout on the frontier.
Soon after moving to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, he was appointed justice of the peace for the area (then a part of Allegheny County), and was probably one of the first pioneers to fill that office in what is now Mercer County.
