General Notes: Husband - James Galbraith

Of Scotch parentage, he was born in North of Ireland, whence he emigrated about the year 1718, settling in Conestoga, afterward Donegal township, then Chester County, Province of Pennsylvania. He was one of the founders of the old Derry Church, a man of prominence, and head of a remarkable family. He died and is buried in the old graveyard at Derry.

He was born in 1650, and emigrated in 1718 with his family, settling in Donegal, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was a man of influence and prominence in his day, and was among the founders of the old Derry Church, in what is now Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, near Derry station, and is buried in the old graveyard of that church.

The founder of the family in Pennsylvania, he emigrated from the North of Ireland, and settled at Donegal, in what is now Lancaster County, in 1712; he bought large tracts of land from William Penn, proprietary. [HEC 1884, 895]

Six children are listed in HAC 1914, 659. Isabel is excluded from the list in HAC 1914, 647.
