General Notes: Husband - Burton Waldron Rogers

He received his primary education at Warren, Pennsylvania, and after completing his education he turned his attention to the lumber business. In 1865, with the assistance of his brother, Lucien P. Rogers, he took charge of the old sawmill formerly operated by his father. It was then run by water power and had a capacity of only three hundred thousand feet of sawed lumber. In 1885 Lucien P. retired from the firm, Burton Waldron becoming sole owner. Two years later he tore down the old plant, building a new one in its place.
