General Notes: Husband - John Chalfant


He came to America in the ship "Welcome" with William Penn and was given a deed for six hundred and forty acres of land in Chester County, Pennsylvania. This was in about 1682. He afterward, in 1699, settled on a tract of land of two hundred and fifty acres in Rockland Manor, Chester County, obtaining a warrant for it October 22, 1701.
