General Notes: Husband - Thomas P. Cathcart

He attended the common schools at Millerstown, Pennsylvania, until he was sixteen years of age, and then devoted three years to learning a trade at Cochransville, after which he worked at his trade for eight months at Oxford, in Chester County. Thence he went to Rising Sun, Cecil County, Maryland. Returning to Cochransville, he remained there until December, 1883, at which date he came back to Millerstown, and erected a store room, in which he placed a general stock of goods. Here he built up the largest and most profitable trade in the place.
Mr. Cathcart was a Democrat; he served at least one term as councilman. He was a member of Golden Eagle Lodge, No. 289, of Millerstown.
