General Notes: Husband - Isaac W. Mott


He was born at Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, or Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York. He grew to maturity in New York state, but in 1847 he came to Warren County, Pennsylvania, and became a farmer and lumberman, following these callings all his life. He served during the Civil War, enlisting September 20, 1862, as private in Company F, One Hundred and Fifty-first Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was honorably discharged on July 27, 1863, after serving nine months, and returned home to his farm and lumber business. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and a man of religious temperament.
