General Notes: Husband - Jesse W. Carothers


He was reared in Patterson township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, on the farm, attended the district school and chose farming as a business, which he followed all his life. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church. He was a Democrat, and served for ten years or more as school director and four years as justice of the peace. He was the owner of a farm of nearly 200 acres of well-improved land.
