General Notes: Husband - Simon Grossman

He was the miller at Elliott's mill for a time, then settled in Brady. During the war of 1812, he and his brother Benja­min served with the Pennsylvania volunteers on the Northern frontier.

He left Adams County, PA, when about eighteen years of age and went to Huntington County, where he mar­ried. He and his wife resided in Huntington County until after the birth of their two eldest children, when they moved on west to Butler County.
