• Note: This may be the same person as : Clements Finley.

It is possible that this Clements Finley was a son and not a brother of John Finley, who married Martha Berkley. John's son removed to South Carolina, but there are many circumstances leading to the conclusion that he may afterwards have settled in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and died there in 1775. Ohio Valley Genealogies, pg. 36

The Boyd Family book has him as the son of John Finley.
