General Notes: Husband - Ebenezer Locke


After the revolutionary war he purchased land in Rockingham, Vermont, where he lived until his death. Naturally possessed of a good mind, much practical good sense and good habits, he reared a large family respectably, and accumulated a handsome property. His revolutionary service reads: Ebenezer Locke Jr., served in Captain John Wood's company, Colonel Baldwin's regiment, 1775-1779, when he re-enlisted for three years-thirty months as private, three months as corporal. He began his soldier life at the age of twelve years.
