General Notes: Husband - James Parker Boyd Patterson

He attended the Lebanon public school for several years, completing his studies at Millersville State Normal School. After finishing his school years he returned to the home farm and cultivated the fertile acres, inheriting the property as the sole heir. This old farm was part of the original Nathaniel Patterson tract and had never been owned outside the family. Like his honored forbears he was a Democrat, but unlike them, took little part in public affairs. He was also a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, being the fourth generation of Pattersons to worship there. He was also a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. [GPHWP, 1183]
