General Notes: Husband - Isaac P. Burtner


He was born near Natrona, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and followed agricultural pursuits during his active career, owning a farm of 180 acres. He also operated a coal mine on his farm. He lived near Butler. He was a Republican and he and his wife were members of the First Methodist Church.

He was reared in his native county, and followed the coal trade for some years. In 1882 he purchased a farm in Jefferson township, Butler County, upon which he has since erected substantial buildings and made many other improvements.
