General Notes: Husband - John Burns


He was a relative of the poet Burns, and came to America prior to the Revolution, and was the pioneer of the Burns family in Findlay township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He purchased a large body of land near Imperial.
He owned a part of the old Hopewell tract, purchased and patented by him, April 28, 1785.
