General Notes: Husband - Robert Calvert

He was the founder of the family in Venango County, Pennsylvania, and belonged to the Calvert family so noted in early Maryland history. He lived in the Ligonier valley in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, before his removal to the Venango County region, where he arrived in 1795, having accompanied Matthew Riddle. However, he did not remove his family to their new home until the following year or so, their settlement in Scrubgrass (later Clinton) Township taking place in 1797, and the larger part of the land he secured remained in the possession of his posterity down to the twentieth century. So far as known Robert Calvert's daughter Polly was the first white child brought into the township.
The Calvert-Riddle cemetery was founded by Robert Calvert and his neighbor Robert Riddle in 1796, each giving half of the land set aside for that purpose. A cemetery company was incorporated for its maintenance in 1910. [HVC 1919, 953]

He died aged eighty-seven years, eleven months.

General Notes: Wife - Susannah [Unk]

She died aged 94 years, 7 months, 6 days.
