General Notes: Husband - Andrew Burns

He was born on Montour's run, at Headwaters, Pennsylvania.
He was reared on the farm and followed farming some ten years. He then removed to New Cumberland, West Virginia, where he operated a sawmill two years and subsequently traded for a large country store, which he removed into Washington County, Pennsylvania. In the spring of 1855 he came to Pittsburgh, where he engaged in real-estate business. He became vice-president of the Smithfield National Bank. In the spring of 1875 he came to Sewickley.

He died June 9, 1872, and his wife died January 19, 1873, leaving no descendants. [SFWP, 30] But HAC 1889 ii, 292 clearly indicates they were both living much later.
