General Notes: Husband - Robert Arthur


He served in the first company Northumberland County Rangers in 1779, also in the Continental Line; was first lieutenant under Captain John McIlhatton as shown in the depreciation pay roll (see Pennsylvania Archives, vol. iv., page 358, fifth series, also vol. viii., page 673, fifth series).

He and his family came to Warren County, Pennsylvania, in the year 1798, coming down the Allegheny River in canoes, driving their stock through the paths and trails along the banks of the stream. The first settlement of the family was made at Warren, he subsequently lived and died at Brokenstraw. He was a miller and farmer, the owner of several mills.
He was buried at the mouth of Brokenstraw Creek with his wife.
