General Notes: Husband - C. E. Glenn


He was reared and educated in Concord Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and also attended the schools of Traverse City, Michigan. He completed his schooling at an old brick school house on Jefferson Avenue, and at an early age became interested in the oil business. Mr. Glenn had extensive holdings in Illinois and Louisiana and at the time of his retirement in 1920 he was widely known as an oil producer. He became a resident of Evans City in 1905 and owned the city's most attractive residence, which was located at Washington and Elizabeth streets.
He was always a Republican. He held membership in the United Presbyterian Church and was active in all church work. For over seventeen years he was superintendent of the United Presbyterian Sabbath School and was also a member of the session of that body. He was affiliated with the Masonic Lodge and its various branches, and belonged to the Knights of Pythias.
