General Notes: Husband - John Buffington

He served as postmaster of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, until the Revolutionary War when, with his son, Joseph, and Joseph's wife, Sarah Young, of Chester County, he came to Pike Run Township, Washington County, where they patented land.

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War from Chester County, Pennsylvania.

It might be that there is confusion between this man and his son Joseph, two different sources stating that each was married to a woman named Sarah Young.

General Notes: Wife - Sarah Young
