General Notes: Husband - James Clark


He learned printing in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with his elder brother, Samuel H. Clark. In August, 1845, he removed to Huntingdon, and became the editor of the Journal, continuing as such until his death. Governor Johnston appointed him, January 11, 1849, an aid-de-camp on his staff, with the rank of lieutenant colonel. As a political journalist, he had few equals in the state.
