General Notes: Husband - William Buell

---

He was born in England, the son of an army surgeon who died while on duty in Ireland, his widow and her only child, William, remaining in that country. Here William Buell grew to maturity and became the owner of a large farm. His wife was of Scotch-Irish parentage and about 1856 they immigrated to Canada, their deaths occurring in Hamilton, where they are buried. They were the parents of ten children, of whom Eliza was the second.
