General Notes: Husband - Louis Buchholz


He was educated in his native land, and in the autumn of 1856 immigrated to Warren, Ohio, where he clerked three years. In the autumn of 1859 he started in the clothing business in Ravenna, Ohio, in partnership with the late Jacob Goldstein. In the spring of 1863 he located in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and became one of the leading business men of the borough. Jacob Goldstein continued in partnership with him up to his death, in August, 1882, at which time Mr. Buchholz became sole owner of the business, though still retaining the old firm name of J. Goldstein & Co.
He was an unswerving Democrat, and one of the well-known enterprising citizens of the borough.
