General Notes: Husband - James Buchanan


He was eight years of age when he accompanied his parents to the United States. He was reared on the farm in Mercer Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, which he aided in clearing, and there spent his entire mature life, engaged in agricultural pursuits. He was also the owner of a farm in Marion Township, Butler County, which his son, Alexander, later owned.
