General Notes: Husband - Thomas Brownfield
He came to Fayette County, Pennsylvania, from Winchester, Virginia, in the early settlement of Fayette County. For many years he kept the Swan hotel-a great and popular wagon stand in that day.
He brought his family to Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, in the year 1805, and at first rented and afterwards bought the White Swan Tavern, which he conducted until he died.
He came to Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, from near Winchester, Virginia, at an early day, and in 1805 built the old White Swan Hotel. He conducted this as a house of public entertainment for many years, and within its walls his eleven children grew to manhood and womanhood.
