General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Harrison

He was born in Lancashire, England, and died in Pennsylvania when about eighty years of age. He emigrated to the United States with his family about 1830, and made his home in New Jersey for some years. Then he removed to Rome township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, where he bought a comfortable farm, and was engaged in the buying and selling of stock. In England he had been a butcher, and he followed this calling to a certain extent after taking up his residence in Crawford County. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

He was born in Northumberland County, England, and came to New Jersey from New England in 1827. In 1833, in company with Richard Morris and Inskip Harrison, he walked to the township of Rome, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, being ten days on the journey. They took up a section of four hundred acres of land and divided it into three lots, Mr. Harrison's lot being the farm later owned by Samuel Harrison, his grandson, and John Harrison, his son. He was a successful farmer.
