General Notes: Husband - John Brown

He always followed farming, in which he was successful, and resided two miles west of Kittanning, on the Butler and Kittanning road. He was an old-line whig, later a republican and served as school director and overseer of the poor of his township. He was a member of the old school Presbyterian church.

He and his wife died at such a short interval that they were buried in the same grave.
