General Notes: Husband - Hiram Brown

His parents located in Venango county, PA, in 1849, having removed from Gennesee County, NY. He worked on a spring-pole in drilling the Mammoth oil well. During the Civil War he served three years as a member of Co. C., 10th Reg't Penn. Vols. as a drummer boy. He was in 18 battles.
